About The Position

Requirements

  • High School Diploma

  • Completion of Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program
  • Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately
  • Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment, and systems

Nice To Haves

  • O'Reilly store and/or distribution center experience
  • Completed O'Reilly management training program
  • Advanced computer skills
  • ASE Certification
  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Responsibilities

  • Assist the store manager in sales, appearance, and overall operations of the store.
  • Supervise the professional and retail operations of the store and team members.
  • Recruit, test, hire, evaluate, promote, discipline, and discharge team members under supervision.
  • Communicate information from team meetings to all team members.
  • Train new team members assigned to the position.
  • Handle performance evaluations and recommend pay increases for team members.
  • Participate in the hiring process, including scheduling and conducting interviews.
  • Support the store manager in ensuring safety compliance and training for team members.
  • Make sales calls with or without the store manager and may have a schedule for weekly customer calls.
  • Maintain the delivery fleet and keep records for each vehicle.
  • Ensure the store is neat, clean, and organized at all times.
  • Learn to utilize electronic scheduling and payroll systems.
  • Monitor customer returns and review competitive price matches and overrides.
  • Review team member productivity and monthly P&L statements with the store manager.
