About The Position

The Staff Technician, Product Definition role at Pratt & Whitney focuses on supporting the Hot Section Engineering (HSE) Product Definition group. This position involves collaborating with senior engineers to develop jet engine parts and systems, utilizing CAD and PDM tools to create and manage part definitions from concept through procurement. Requirements

• HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Nice To Haves

• Proficient with ASMEY14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Strong skills in NX and Team Center tools and processes.
• Strong communication and teaming skills.
• Experience with Turbine Airfoils is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Senior Product Definition Engineer to develop Jet Engine parts and systems.
• Create parametric solid CAD models for part definition, analysis, manufacturing, and inspection.
• Manage data related to part information from concept through procurement.
• Utilize models to create associative 2D drawings and/or 3D Model Based Definition (MBD).
• Ensure parts fit within boundaries and with mating parts, considering manufacturing tolerances.
