About the position
We are seeking a Staff Engineer for our Frontend Platforms who will be responsible for owning and evolving our application foundation and frontend development best practices. The main objective of this role is to ensure consistency, performance, and maintainability across our various products. The Staff Engineer will collaborate closely with each product team, understand their specific needs, and provide guidance and direction in frontend technology decisions and practices. Key responsibilities include providing leadership in frontend technologies, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure a seamless user experience, contributing to architectural decision-making, enabling rapid product iteration, and building and maintaining EvolutionIQ's frontend application foundation.
- Provide leadership in frontend technologies across multiple product teams, ensuring consistent architecture and adherence to coding standards.
- Collaborate with product owners, UX/UI designers, and stakeholders to ensure a seamless and effective end user experience.
- Contribute to architectural decision-making for the front end, including modularity, shared code, and server communication.
- Develop and enforce best practices for frontend development, including code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
- Build and maintain EvolutionIQ's frontend application foundation, design system, testing and release frameworks, and related entities.
- Ensure EvolutionIQ products support internationalization and accessibility features.
- Collaborate with team leads and developers on architectural decisions and design considerations.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers.
- Stay updated on the latest frontend technology trends and introduce new tools and technologies.
- 7+ years of industry experience in Software or Frontend engineering
- Experience in building secure, performant, enterprise-grade web applications
- Experience in holding lead/staff/principal level roles in Software or Frontend engineering
- Experience in establishing and realizing technical strategy for large engineering groups
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Extensive Typescript development experience
- Extensive knowledge of React and modern frontend frameworks and libraries
- Competitive salary range ($210-240K) depending on background and experience plus stock options
