About The Position

The Sr Technology Engineer (Supervisor) at PSEG is responsible for overseeing technology solution design and implementation, managing a team of engineers, and ensuring alignment with business goals. This role involves full technology life cycle management, including designing, coding, testing, and supporting software and systems. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to develop and maintain technology solutions that meet security and quality assurance standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of professional technology solution engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities through technology solution ownership and project management.
  • Proven ability to translate business outcomes and requirements into technical designs.
  • Experience managing a team of 3 to 4 employees.
  • Proficient in using databases such as Oracle and MS SQL Server, and programming languages like Java and Python.
  • Experience in deploying and updating Windows-based applications.
  • Ability to automate tasks using PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience with production support of mission-critical technology solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems.
  • Experience with public cloud providers.
  • Experience implementing off-the-shelf products.
  • Experience with mission-critical technology solutions.
  • AWS Data Cloud Architecture and development experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direction on strategic/tactical technical initiatives and decisions impacting Technology Products.
  • Acts as an escalation point to mitigate risks and issues for projects within the IT/OT portfolio.
  • Manages a team of technology engineers to resolve production issues and participates in the on-call roster.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders such as enterprise architects and software development teams to remediate vulnerabilities and integrate applications.
  • Partners with business analysts to translate business requirements into technology solution requirements.
  • Analyzes end-user needs and designs, configures, develops, and tests technology solutions.
  • Ensures design and implementation of technology solutions meet security and QA standards.
  • Follows IT standard change management processes and reviews change tickets for production deployment.
