About The Position

Coupang is a rapidly growing e-commerce company that aims to revolutionize the shopping experience. We are building a centralized experiment platform to support various domain teams in implementing and managing their experiments and feature deployments. The candidate will design, build, and drive the adoption of features that enhance development productivity and efficiency. This role involves creating user-friendly web applications for test owners, providing SDKs for developers, and powering company-wide feature flags and dynamic configurations for dark deployments. Additionally, the candidate will develop a sophisticated metric calculation engine to facilitate global and local metrics for experiment decision-making.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of work experience in software development.
• Proven track record in delivering highly distributed systems.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Etcd, Zookeeper, Elastic Search, Git, and Apache Hadoop technologies.
• Knowledge of A/B Testing is preferred.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, performance complexity, and implications of computer architecture on software performance.
• Proficient in software engineering fundamentals, including version control systems (i.e., Git, Github) and workflows.
• Experience deploying highly scalable software supporting millions of users.
• Experience integrating applications and platforms with cloud technologies (i.e., AWS and GCP).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with A/B Testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies beyond AWS and GCP.
