About the position
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for our Frontend team at Runway. This role involves building cutting-edge, AI-powered video creation and collaboration tools. We are looking for engineers who are problem solvers and thrive in fast-paced environments. Our team works on a wide range of challenges, including developing new interfaces for AI content creation and deploying computer vision and generative models to production.
Responsibilities
- Create rich multimedia interfaces using AI video generation models
- Work with a world-class engineering team to push the boundaries of creativity and content creation on the browser
- Implement new product features for Runway's machine learning based generative AI tools
- Improve the performance, reliability, and code quality of codebases
- Have 4+ years of industry experience in a software engineering role, ideally frontend focused
- Demonstrate fluency in one or more programming languages, including but not limited to Javascript/Typescript
- Architect production-ready systems and be familiar with debugging and profiling tools
- Rapidly prototype solutions and iterate on them with tight product deadlines
- Have humility and open-mindedness; be willing to learn from others
Requirements

- Competitive salary range of $180,000-220,000
