About The Position

Join BlueLinx as a Senior Compensation Analyst! BlueLinx is expanding our HR team and looking for a Senior Compensation Analyst to join us in Atlanta. In this role, you will provide advanced analytical and project support in designing, delivering, and administering compensation strategies. You will work under the Director of Compensation to plan, develop, and enhance compensation programs at the corporate level and across the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; Accounting, Business Administration, Finance degrees a plus.
  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) certification is a must.
  • 7+ years of experience in compensation-related areas.
  • Strong background in compensation administration and Total Reward policies and programs.
  • Sales incentive experience, short-term and long-term incentive administration experience, market pricing.
  • Solid understanding of market analysis, salary structures, and job evaluation and creation processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Software is a must and relevant tools/technology.
  • Advanced proficiency in Access and Excel.
  • Experience with compensation platforms (Payscale/Payfactors, Mercer, ERI, etc.) is a must.
  • Comfort with HRIS systems (we use Ceridian Dayforce) and creating reports.
  • Ability to analyze/interpret data and understand internal controls, standards, and processes.
  • Strong communication skills with the C-suite and branch leadership.
  • Exceptional data analysis, logical thought processes, and deductive reasoning ability.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent planning/organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • A master's degree is a nice bonus.
  • PHR, SPHR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, install, modify, and administer base pay, variable/bonus pay, and sales incentive compensation programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct advanced statistical queries, reports, and documents for complex market studies, trend analyses, and the development and implementation of compensation or incentive programs.
  • Perform job evaluations, survey participation, salary planning, and market and equity analysis.
  • Identify compensation-related issues and partner with managers to recommend corrective or alternative actions.
  • Participate in compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine the company's competitive position.
