Requirements

• Must be fluent in Spanish.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in medical and social interpretation.
• Must perform essential duties satisfactorily, with accommodations available for individuals with disabilities as needed.
• Must be located in Tampa, FL and willing to commute.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate understanding in communication by interpreting everything being said into the target language without adding, omitting, or altering content.
• Maintain impartiality and show no bias or preference toward either party while interpreting.
• Always interpret in the first form, clarifying when necessary while informing both parties.
• Adhere strictly to the code of ethics for interpreters and maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
• Recognize and explain cultural differences when appropriate to ensure effective communication.
• Continuously improve interpreting skills and ethical performance to preserve the highest level of proficiency.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients and their customers at all times.
