About The Position

The Delivery Specialist is responsible for operating store vehicles to deliver parts and products to professional customers safely and efficiently. This role includes collecting payments on C.O.D. deliveries, picking up customer returns, and ensuring the maintenance and security of delivery vehicles. The position also involves various customer service tasks and supporting store operations as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Valid state driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with automotive parts.
• Ability to operate other light store equipment.
• Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of delivery vehicles, including completing daily inspections.
• Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and collected monies at all times.
• Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slips.
• Communicate any customer issues or special needs to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tanks are filled and vehicles are locked and secured at the end of the day.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Assist with customer service, stocking, merchandising, and other duties as assigned.
