About The Position

The Solutions Engineer II at Availity is a client-facing role responsible for leading the technical workstream for the implementation of new and existing health plans for the Essentials and Intelligent Gateway products. This position involves conducting demonstrations for health plans, consulting on best practices, and ensuring successful project execution through collaboration with various teams across the organization.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in a client-facing role building relationships internally and externally.
  • 2 years of experience in a technology, technical consulting, or implementation firm, preferably in healthcare.
  • Strong analytical, technical problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of application development practices including SDLC and Agile.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for writing business and technical requirements.
  • Ability to deliver assigned tasks and produce deliverables in a high time-bound engagement.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities.
  • Technical aptitude in high-performance business-to-business transactions.
  • Understanding of X12, APIs, and EDI terminology and implementation practices.
  • Ability to consult on recommendations within Availity's standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with or implementing Pre-Service focused solutions such as Eligibility & Benefits, Authorizations, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of healthcare transactions, particularly EDI, X12, and APIs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical workstream for implementing new and existing health plans for the Essentials and Intelligent Gateway products.
  • Conduct demonstrations for both prospective and existing health plans.
  • Consult with health plans on best practices to improve implementations.
  • Document business and technical requirements drawing on standard practices and configuration options.
  • Support user acceptance testing and go-live activities in collaboration with the Implementation team and clients.
  • Participate in sales discovery processes and engage with Product Management for custom requests.
  • Support multiple, concurrent projects across various clients.
