About the position

As a Solutions Architect, you’ll own the technical discovery, design, commercial and delivery phases of the sales cycle for mid-market and enterprise prospects. Drawing on your hands-on Laravel experience, you’ll diagnose complex requirements, craft tailored architectures, and translate deep technical insights into clear business outcomes. You’ll partner closely with Product and Technical Support to ensure each customer’s long-term success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead deep-dive architecture sessions with CTOs and lead engineers.
  • Map existing Laravel workloads, CI/CD pipelines, and hosting infrastructure to our platform capabilities.
  • Produce high-fidelity solution diagrams, statements of work, and effort estimates.
  • Build live demos and reference apps in Laravel.
  • Present scalable, cost-efficient architectures that address performance, security, and compliance needs.
  • Run hands-on PoCs: provision environments, migrate sample data, and benchmark performance.
  • Coach customer engineering teams throughout trials to ensure a smooth hand-off to production.
  • Translate technical wins into clear ROI for VPs of Engineering, Product, Finance, and Procurement.
  • Navigate complex buying committees and lead security/compliance reviews.
  • Execute buying agreements with new customers migrating to Laravel products.
  • Identify up-sell opportunities and craft expansion roadmaps for existing customers.
  • Channel field insights back to Product & Engineering, quantifying customer impact and influencing roadmap priorities.
  • Speak at Laravel conferences and meetups, write technical blog posts, and appear on community livestreams.

Requirements

  • 2+ years Laravel development experience, including building RESTful APIs, queue workers, and artisan commands.
  • Experience with deployment infrastructure and processes.
  • Familiarity with CDNs, MySQL, Postgres, Redis, Docker, Forge/Vapor/Envoyer.
  • Ability to whiteboard scalable architectures and read customers’ code on calls.
  • Strong grasp of cloud concepts and cloud pricing (AWS, VPCs, RDS, autoscaling, CI/CD, containers).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to simplify the complex.
  • Comfort traveling (~20%) for onsite workshops, conferences, and key account visits.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience selling or implementing infrastructure or DevOps platforms.
  • Experience with DevSecOps and observability tools.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes at enterprises (MSAs, DPAs, Security Reviews, RFPs).
  • Contributions to open-source Laravel packages or public GitHub portfolio.
