About the position
Decodable is seeking a Solutions Engineer who will play a crucial role in serving various data teams. The ideal candidate should have experience selling complex SaaS solutions to IT teams, particularly earning the trust of engineers and helping them succeed. They should have a proven track record of success, strong sales skills, and the ability to build long-term relationships with customers. Additionally, the Solutions Engineer should possess a deep understanding of real-time data integration and engineering, as well as familiarity with technologies such as Kafka, Pulsar, Rabbit, Flink, or Kinesis.
Responsibilities

- Have experience with Kafka, Pulsar, Rabbit, Flink, or Kinesis

- Sell to IC's, executives, and everyone in between
- Have experience at startups building toward $10M ARR
- Have a history of success: crush quota, build long term relationships, and drive customer projects to success and satisfaction
- Practice and perfect both the art and science of sales
- Be authentic while accomplishing objectives
- Customize each customer experience to their needs
- Have rigorous qualification and structure to sales cycles and PoVs
- Not have "Not my job" as part of your vocabulary
- Have education in computer science or a related field
Requirements
- At least 4+ years as an SE selling to tech teams
- Experience with Kafka, Pulsar, Rabbit, Flink, or Kinesis
- Energy, curiosity, and initiative
- A great list of startup-friendly contacts you can call on day 1
- An ownership mindset (you will own part of Decodable!)
- Experience selling to IC’s, executives, and everyone in between
- Experience at startups building toward $10M ARR
- History of success: crush your quota, build long term relationships, and drive customer projects to success and satisfaction
