About The Position

The Software Product Manager for HARMAN Professional Solutions will oversee the definition, development, and lifecycle management of audio/video/control integration software. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to introduce and enhance software solutions that cater to various venues globally. The position requires strategic management of the product development roadmap to maximize market share and profitability, while also ensuring effective communication and execution of product vision.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Product Management.
• Hands-on experience in the professional installed AV industry, with knowledge of DSP, amplification, and networked AV transport and control standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to define and prioritize product features, with experience in design, user testing, and prototyping.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products on tight deadlines.
• World-class communication, presentation, and listening skills.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency with UI/UX design-related tools such as Figma, XD, Sketch, Photoshop.
• Proficiency with Jira.
• Product Management experience specifically for software, having built digital SaaS products.
• Strong understanding of computer science and software development practices.
• Technical training and instructional design experience.

Responsibilities

• Introduce new software solutions through collaboration with internal teams including Engineering, UX, Sales, Marketing, and Tech Support.
• Conduct market research through direct customer interaction and engagement with market research agencies.
• Maintain expertise in the professional audio/visual industry and the company's software products.
• Strategically manage the product development roadmap to maximize market share and profitability.
• Guide the development of wireframes and designs that articulate the product vision.
• Define detailed epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria for developers.
• Support regional sales directors in the launch and messaging of new products and features.
