Software Engineer - Infrastructure

Assembled is seeking a skilled individual to join their team and contribute to the development and enhancement of their workforce management platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring site stability, improving developer tooling, deploying and maintaining high-leverage systems, and designing high throughput data ingestion pipelines. • Ensure site stability by addressing server resource issues, resolving network outages, and investigating database performance regressions
• Improve developer tooling to balance shipping code quickly with high code quality and site reliability
• Deploy and maintain high-leverage systems such as PostgreSQL, Redis, Amazon SQS, and Grafana
• Scope and deploy new systems (e.g. Kubernetes or Docker) and maintain, deprecate, and/or refactor usage patterns of existing systems
• Design high throughput data ingestion pipelines for data analysis purposes

• Extensive cloud computing knowledge, including storage, compute, networking, and deploying
• Experience with AWS (preferred but not required)
• Experience in building large scale continuous integration and deployment pipelines
• Experience in orchestrating and managing large scale data platforms such as Airflow, Kafka, or Jenkins
• Experience in building developer tools and systems to enable product engineers to ship new features efficiently and safely
• Ability to address server resource issues, resolve network outages, and investigate database performance regressions
• Knowledge of infrastructure and its impact on product velocity
• Familiarity with systems like PostgreSQL, Redis, Amazon SQS, and Grafana
• Ability to deploy and maintain high-leverage systems
• Experience in designing high throughput data ingestion pipelines
