The opportunity: Flexport's Omnichannel Fulfillment helps the world's fastest-growing brands distribute their freight to local businesses and their customers. We help merchants seamlessly manage their shipments, inventory, and orders by deeply integrating technology into the operational process. Exceptional software development is integral in allowing us to fulfill our mission of making global trade easier for everyone. At Flexport you'll work alongside self-starters interested in solving real-world problems, modeling the work that people do within our fulfillment hubs. You'll design solutions to make those processes more efficient and think innovatively to automate much of it.

  • Build highly available, secure, distributed systems in a microservice architecture.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain systems that represent the real-world intricacies of logistics entities, such as shipments, pallets, appointments, and SKUs.
  • Obsess over metrics to identify issues and high-impact problems that are worth solving.
  • Work closely with product managers, support, and operations teams to distill complex operational problems into elegant technical solutions.
  • Be part of a close-knit engineering team that ships new code with every PR, every day.
  • 1+ years of experience writing software and a strong engineering background.
  • A love of simple, well-tested code that is easy to extend and hard to break.
  • The ability to convey technical ideas in common terms to business stakeholders, product managers, and engineers alike.
  • A self-starter attitude. When you see a problem, you solve it.
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language such as Typescript, Python, Java, Kotlin, or Ruby.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Competitive salary range of $140,676 - $156,307 USD.
