Software Engineer, Frontend

This role at StarTree involves collaborating with product managers and UX engineers/designers to design intuitive user interfaces, formulating REST API contracts with backend engineers, building and testing responsive and compatible user interface components, and improving the quality and reliability of web applications. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience working with JavaScript and building web apps with React or similar frontend frameworks. Familiarity with the StarTree frontend technology stack, including React, TypeScript, and testing frameworks, is a plus. The position offers a competitive salary range and comprehensive benefits.

• Collaborate with product managers to understand requirements and work with UX engineers/designers to help design intuitive user interface
• Collaborate with backend engineers to formulate REST API contracts
• Build and test well designed, easy to maintain user interface components that are responsive and compatible across browsers
• Build responsive, scalable user interface for web applications and own it from implementation to rollout
• Improve quality and reliability of web applications with unit and end-to-end tests

• 3+ years of experience working with JavaScript
• 3+ years of experience building web apps with React (or other similar frontend frameworks)
• Hands-on experience in building scalable web apps from start to end
• Good knowledge of JavaScript
• Experience with React applications written in TypeScript
• Familiarity with standard tooling such as webpack, ESLint, stylelint, Prettier, etc.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest/React Testing Library and Cypress is a plus
