About The Position

The Software Development Intern position at EBSCO Information Services offers an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in software development while supporting internal and external customer needs. Interns will collaborate with multi-functional teams, receive mentorship, and contribute to the development of systems that power EBSCO's applications, utilizing technologies such as Java and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Requirements

• Basic programming knowledge.
• Working on or toward a bachelor's degree in a computer science field.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside other software engineers to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices for design, coding standards, performance, security, delivery, and maintainability.
• Work with product management and your team to analyze and decompose complex software requirements into simple user stories for planning and execution.
• Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
• Address technical debt issues identified.
