About the position
Cesium is seeking an experienced outward-facing software developer to join their federal business development team. The role involves building relationships with partners, coding demos and prototypes using CesiumJS, Unreal Engine, and/or Unity, and facilitating technical conversations to understand requirements and propose architectures. The ideal candidate should have a passion for the DOD/IC mission, at least 10 years of software development experience, and proficiency in JavaScript, Unity, or Unreal. Responsibilities
- Build authentic relationships with partners to create win-win opportunities
- Code demos and prototypes using CesiumJS, Unreal Engine, and/or Unity
- Facilitate technical conversations with partners to understand requirements and propose architectures
- Give technical presentations in person and virtually
- Serve as the technical expert for partners, answering pre-sales and post-sales questions
- Contribute to Cesium's revenue growth
- Have a passion for the DOD/IC mission
- Possess 10+ years of software development experience in an outward-facing role
- Be proficient in JavaScript, Unity, or Unreal
- Preferably have experience with 3D or geospatial data pipelines
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, emphasizing asking questions, listening carefully, creating collective success, and transparency
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Requirements
- Passion for the DOD/IC mission
- 10+ years of software development experience in an outward-facing role
- Proficient with any combination of JavaScript, Unity, or Unreal
- Experience with 3D or geospatial data pipelines is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on asking fantastic questions, listening carefully, creating collective success, and transparency
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
