About The Position
Delta College is seeking part-time adjunct instructors for the Social Sciences Division. The successful candidate must demonstrate experience, skills, and commitment to fostering an environment of belonging, diversity, equity, and inclusion among students, faculty, and staff. The college believes that education serves the greater good by providing students access to a better life, and candidates must understand the transformative role community colleges play in changing lives and society. Instructors are expected to continuously improve their pedagogy and relationships with students, faculty, and staff, and to help students achieve their goals while upholding academic excellence as a moral imperative. The disciplines within the Social Sciences include Applied Behavior Studies, Child Development, Communication, Criminal Justice, Economics, Education, Geography, Global Peace Studies, History, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and Youth Services. Instructors must be available to teach in traditional classroom settings.
