About The Position

The position involves supervising the Logistics and Inventory departments at Panavision. The role requires assigning daily workloads based on the skill set of resources, priorities, and customer requirements. The individual will be directly responsible for managing the shipping and receiving team, ensuring accurate, timely, and cost-effective shipment and receipt of equipment and other materials. Compliance with all regulations for import and export of equipment and handling of hazardous goods is essential. The position also includes organizing the inventory room and managing inventory levels, while providing coaching, mentoring, and development to team members.

Responsibilities

  • Day to day management, organization and supervision of Logistics and Inventory team.
  • Conduct quality checks of all team members' work and provide on-the-job training.
  • Update training procedures for new equipment and provide training and demonstrations to employees.
  • Manage inventory levels, providing minimum and maximum equipment levels.
  • Report shortages and surpluses to VP Ops and Rental Manager in a timely manner.
  • Oversee input and removal of gear, including disposal of obsolete gear.
  • Conduct annual stock counts and act as the main point of contact for the Global Inventory team and Finance.
  • Collaborate with Prep Manager and Service Managers to reassign personnel as needed.
  • Interview and coordinate the intern program, assigning interns to departments as applicable.
  • Ensure accurate and timely receipt of all equipment returned to Panavision.
  • Prepare and ensure completeness of all paperwork for shipment, import, or export of equipment.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for all staff and define training objectives.
  • Regularly review services and products offered by 3rd party vendors and negotiate new terms if needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
