About The Position

The Service Supervisor in Computer Repair at Micro Center is responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of the Computer Service Repair Department and Knowledge Bar. This role focuses on leadership, customer service, inventory management, and vendor relationships, ensuring that the department meets its performance goals and maintains high standards of service and repair.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of related supervisory or management experience in a service facility, retail service department, or tech support environment preferred.
  • A+ and Apple certifications required within 120 days of hire.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree from a college or technical school preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and guidance to Computer Service Repair Department and Knowledge Bar associates.
  • Ensures accurate execution of parts orders and returns within specified timeframes.
  • Manages inventory turns, obsolescence, and markdowns with Service Purchasing.
  • Handles difficult customer situations courteously and professionally.
  • Drives performance to meet or exceed established goals for customer satisfaction, productivity, income, and operational efficiency.
  • Manages vendor relationships regarding parts cost, margin, and service level agreements (SLA).
  • Participates in staffing, orientation, and training activities in the store.
  • Assists with scheduling to ensure proper coverage in the department.
  • Maintains the technical certification level of the shop for proper service and repair of products.
  • Responsible for the look and feel of the parts room and facility maintenance of the Service Department.
