About The Position

The Service Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the front end operations of the store, ensuring exceptional customer service, compliance with company policies, and effective management of staff and resources. This role involves directing the activities of front end clerks, managing budgets, and maintaining operational standards to enhance customer satisfaction and store performance.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in Retail Management or as an Assistant Manager.
  • Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
  • Ability to follow instructions and possess organizational skills.
  • Experience in front-end development and retail management.
  • Leadership skills and effective communication abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cash management and point of sale systems.
  • Knowledge of community relations and promotional programs.

Responsibilities

  • Champions corporate and division customer service programs to meet or exceed division customer service goals.
  • Manages and schedules duties of Front End Clerks, Courtesy Clerks, Service Operations Assistant, and Service Supervisors.
  • Manages and meets departmental budgets and financial objectives.
  • Directs and supervises front end operations, monitors customer traffic flow, and ensures cleanliness of the front end sales floor.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures related to cash handling, employee purchases, and product sales.
  • Handles cash flow requirements including deposits and monitoring cashier funds.
  • Completes and ensures completion of all front end forms and resolves cash variances and other issues.
  • Oversees front end employee training and coordinates with the Administrative Coordinator.
  • Maintains the fresh appearance of checkstand merchandisers and ensures operational front end equipment.
  • Implements emergency procedures for computer equipment malfunctions and reviews reports to control excess voids and refunds.
  • Creates department schedules to meet customer needs and communicates schedule changes.
  • Serves as overflow cashier when needed and coordinates front end programs to meet division goals.
  • Interviews and recommends hiring of front end staff and provides corrective action recommendations to the Store Director.
