About The Position

The Logistic Service Center Manager at DHE Transportation is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and Profit and Loss activities of the terminal. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage relationships with drivers, customers, and vendors while ensuring that facility and customer goals are met in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Background in Less-than-truckload logistics
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to hire, coach, counsel, train, and mentor employees
  • Experience in managing terminal operations
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations regarding transportation

Responsibilities

  • Manage and ensure facility and customer goals are met and/or exceeded
  • Manage/oversee all terminal functions including dispatch, maintenance, and scheduling for timely deliveries and backhauls
  • Lead, guide, and direct terminal employees, setting targets/goals and monitoring performance
  • Provide coaching, counseling, and development to terminal employees
  • Establish and maintain solid customer relationships
  • Ensure safety, service, and quality measures are upheld
  • Ensure compliance of drivers with federal, state, and local regulations including Hours of Service
  • Review and approve weekly payroll and billing
  • Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work varying shifts as business levels increase
