Senior Software Engineer - Front End - Bengaluru

The LXP Profiles team at Degreed is seeking an experienced Front End Developer to design and implement scalable systems for the Degreed LXP. The successful candidate will work with other experienced developers, the Product Manager, and Engineering Manager to implement reliable, robust, and scalable solutions, add new features, fix bugs, and drive the Degreed product forward. This role requires at least 5 years of experience in developing front-end software, 3 years of Angular experience, and demonstrated experience in an agile environment. The position is based in Bengaluru, India, and will be remote-first with requirements for recurring in-office days for team syncs and group gatherings.

• Deliver end-to-end implementation of new user-facing features and/or enhancements to existing features
• Participate in troubleshooting production issues and work with the team to continuously evaluate and improve the quality, reliability, and scalability of the LXP application
• Implement beautiful layouts using SASS / CSS3 and HTML
• Craft Angular components and services with an eye for modularity
• Continually improve the quality of UI code
• Collaborate with product owners to ensure features/changes meet business requirements and fulfil the Degreed strategy
• Work closely with designers, UX, and other developers to gain understanding of new features, dependencies, and technical details
• Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to existing engineering processes including deployment, monitoring, localization, accessibility, and troubleshooting
• Learn, grow professionally, contribute to an amazing team, and play a key role in fueling a massive change in learning and learning recognition

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• At least 5+ years’ experience in developing front-end software
• At least 3 years Angular experience required - latest version preferred but not required
• Demonstrated experience in an agile environment
• Comfortable creating highly scalable SaaS systems and frameworks
• Possess strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
• Solution driven with ability to understand the big picture
• Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to work autonomously with minimal direction
• Lifelong learner and passionate about discovering new things and taking on new challenges
• Familiar with encapsulating UI code
• Experienced with Angular v12+, RxJS v6+, Unit testing with Jest, NgBootstrap v10+
• Data visualization experience (especially with HighCharts) a plus
• ARIA attributes and screen reader technologies
• Cypress experience
• Experience with C#, .Net 6, and SQL
