Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Execute Team)

ActionIQ is seeking a senior software engineer to join their backend engineering team. The team plays a critical role in building and operating the company's big-data platform and core product offering. The successful candidate will work on developing the Scala code base used by the backend APIs and ETL processes. They will also collaborate with other teams to launch new features, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the overall quality and reliability of the product and platform. The role requires 9+ years of experience as a software engineer and a positive attitude towards working in a team environment. The salary range for this position is $185,000 - $210,000.

• Deliver high-quality, maintainability code
• Operationally ensure services meet uptime and availability SLAs
• Work with others to break down projects into smaller units of work with intermediate milestones
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and architects to design and implement features and improvements throughout multiple areas of the product
• Mentor junior engineers and interns with a growth mindset

• 9+ years of experience as a software engineer
• Experience leading the implementation of a large product feature or infrastructure changes
• Proficiency in a backend language, such as Java
• Ability to work in a team environment with other engineers and product managers
• Positive attitude and open-mindedness to making trade-offs in a complex operating environment
