Senior Software Engineer

• Support the creation and evolution of Axios HQ's flagship product
• Write clean, well-documented, and well-tested code using best practices
• Collaborate with Axios HQ platform, product, and design teams to ship and iterate on high-quality products
• Mentor and coach team members through pair-programming and code review
• Stay up to date with industry trends and advise the team on best practices
• Implement secure systems
• Optimize application code for performance and scale optimizations
• Conceptualize and implement solutions for data storage
• Maintain highly available systems
• Work with technologies like React, Typescript, Python, Django, Node.js, JavaScript
• Experience with FastAPI, Express, PostgreSQL
• Experience with scaling an API platform
• Experience integrating with AI services (Open AI)
• Work with libraries and frameworks like Y.js, Hocuspocus, and/or TipTap
• Pay attention to detail and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Annual compensation in the range of $145,000-$160,000, dependent on factors like location, work experience, and skills

• Experience working at various ends of the stack with technologies like React, Typescript, Python, Django, Node.js, JavaScript
• Experience with FastAPI, Express, PostgreSQL
• Experience with scaling an API platform

• Experience working in libraries and frameworks like Y.js, Hocuspocus, and/or TipTap
• Large capacity for attention to detail
