About The Position
The eligible register developed from this posting may be used to fill future FT and PT vacancies within this classification. The position involves performing construction inspections and providing technical assistance and specification enforcement to contracted (and in-house) Highway Department road, trail, and parks projects. The role includes providing survey activities to assist road construction, overseeing bituminous overlays, conducting bridge inspections, and measuring and verifying material quantities provided by contractor's test materials used on projects. The position upholds County/State guidelines for construction in Right-of-Way. Specific duties for Senior PW Technician positions vary slightly by position focus, department area, and project. Some evening and weekend hours are required. The position will be open until filled, with a full range salary going up to $104,416 with outstanding performance.
