  • Direct and coordinate Regional Response activities, focusing on Disaster Action Teams (DAT) and Level I and II disaster responses.
  • Plan, execute, and evaluate projects and activities, including the Disaster Action Team Continuous Response Strategic Initiative.
  • Ensure Regional Response and DAT align with DCS vision and priorities, including the 2023 Disaster Cycle Services Five Year Plan.
  • Collaborate with regions, divisions, and NHQ branches to collect and analyze data, identify needs, and develop recommendations for program improvement.
  • Report on project status and issues for management review.
  • Administer Regional Response processes, update doctrine, and coordinate with regions and divisions.
  • Analyze and improve operating practices.
  • Adapt strategies based on data analysis to meet evolving needs, trends, and organizational goals.
  • Share data to enhance programs and develop business analysis tools.
  • Support divisions and regions, including the 15,000-person DAT workforce, by facilitating office hours, calls with DAT leaders, presenting at regional DAT Summits, and participating in monthly division calls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the American Red Cross mission.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, judgement, and discretion.
  • Ability to develop strong and collaborative working relationships with division, region, and national headquarters teams.
  • Ability to work well independently and handle and prioritize multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills to develop creative processes for continuous program or service improvements.
  • Ability to evaluate quantitative and qualitative data to connect the dots between key metrics and opportunities for optimization.
  • Organized with effective project plans, budgets, and strategies.
  • Proactive and organized project planner, thinker, and innovative problem solver.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, able to explain concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Data literate with Intermediate level proficiency with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Track record of success in supporting volunteer-led Disaster Action Teams.
  • Experience in a Red Cross Humanitarian Services region.
  • Familiarity with Red Cross Client Care Program.
  • Demonstrated success in working with both internal and external partners.
  • Proven ability to transition from Level I/II responses to larger Disaster Relief Operations.
