Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a world class manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in product development, from concept to commercialization.
  • Expertise in CAD/CAM software (preferably Solidworks 2020+).
  • Experience with complex electro-mechanical systems design and testing.
  • Track record of successful project delivery.
  • Familiarity with quality systems (Lean, Six Sigma, DFX, FMEA).
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficient in handling inquiries, concerns, or complaints from customers, regulatory bodies, and business associates with professionalism and efficacy.
  • Exceptional interpersonal/team skills, including both verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize SolidWorks CAD software to design complex electro-mechanical systems that incorporate a sound understanding of accepted drafting standards, design tolerances, materials science, stress analysis, and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and test lock systems and accessories that integrate electronic and mechanical hardware solutions. Support and develop solutions to meet customer requests and to address product challenges. Support Manufacturing and Quality Operations as needed.
  • Create and manage detailed engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and user manuals that comply with industry standards.
  • Lead cross-functional delivery teams and development partners to provide technical support and drive project deliverables.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to drive product and process enhancements.
  • Conduct market analysis on competitive products in residential, commercial, and government sectors.
