About The Position

As Chapter Leader - Senior Manager, you will blend engineering knowledge and experience with a passion for coaching and mentoring to deliver scalable and high performing solutions with a cloud-first mindset. You will be responsible for the managing engineering associates and delivery and technical ownership of a portfolio of applications assigned to the Orchestration team. Our goal at FDA's Orchestration team is to design and build a suite of capabilities supporting Legal, regulatory and compliance needs. You will work very closely with product owners, architects, and engineering teams to deliver high quality, reliable, cloud-based technology solutions to meet our business needs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional, hands on Software Engineering experience in Java, Spring boot and API Full Stack Development
• Development experience in AWS is a plus
• 2-3 years in people management with excellent people leadership skills with demonstrated ability of leading and developing software engineers
• Engineering background with a consistent record of delivering to cloud at scale
• Experience with modern agile engineering approaches, CI/CD practices and focus on operational excellence
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with technology and business partners across Fidelity
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
• Exceptional mentoring and coaching skills, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement

• Plan and lead strategic technology initiatives
• Support and empower engineers to enable delivery of increased value
• Enable an agile and frictionless organization by demonstrating agile behaviors
• Promote a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement
• Measure performance through established objectives and metrics and deliver agreed upon business, technology, and people results
• Align chapter members across squads to ensure the best utilization of talent while also building learning opportunities to develop skills
• Actively share insights, knowledge and industry practices across the organization
