Senior Manager, Product Marketing- 2K/Firaxis

The job overview for the Senior Product Marketing Manager position at Firaxis Games is to work closely with the Firaxis Development and 2K Global Marketing teams to plan for the future of the Civilization franchise. • Represent the voice of the consumer and work collaboratively with marketing and development teams
• Build detailed profiles of customers and their gaming needs
• Identify global audience needs and opportunities for product development and strategic marketing planning
• Synthesize game telemetry data, competitive research, consumer insights, and community input to create detailed audience profiles
• Define and prioritize specific product feature needs
• Work with the game team to implement desired features
• Ensure correct feature sets and product vision for future products
• Develop expertise in the Strategy gaming genre, particularly Civilization and top competitors
• Provide product and competitive expertise for development, marketing, and publishing teams
• Act as the embedded representative of the 2K Global Marketing team within the studio
• Work closely with the Global Marketing Strategy team to develop and execute marketing plans
• Present marketing plans and represent marketing in meetings and all-hands sessions
• Assist with strategic planning and campaign rollouts
• Liaise with Global Marketing Strategy and Development teams to ensure timely scheduling and planning
• Track and update deliverable dates for global marketing materials
• Provide leadership, collaboration, and communication within the team and cross-functionally
• Partner, present, and report to stakeholders on marketing campaign progress
• Oversee and direct the tasks and progress of direct reports

• Previous experience in consumer insights and data analytics, game development, or product management
• Knowledge of the Firaxis portfolio of titles, especially Civilization
• Ability to represent, ideate, and drive marketing initiatives at the studio level
• Strong understanding of game quality improvement and player engagement
• Diplomatic skills to work with the game team on implementing product features
• Familiarity with the strategy gaming genre and expertise in Civilization and its competitors
• Ability to provide product and competitive expertise for development, marketing, and publishing teams
• Experience in marketing strategy and project management
• Ability to champion the marketing plan and strategic vision within the studio
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Leadership skills to add value to the product and business strategy
• Ability to oversee and direct the tasks and progress of direct reports
