Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond? Pratt & Whitney Engineering is seeking a dynamic and proactive HR Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you'll be a strategic HR partner, driving key initiatives and fostering an inspiring culture across our Development Operations Engineering; Fire & Life Safety; and Geared Turbo Fan Maintenance, Repair & Operations (GTF-MRO) organizations. This position offers the exciting opportunity to provide strategic HR guidance to leaders and employees across multiple engineering and operations disciplines at various locations, including East Hartford, Middletown, Connecticut, and West Palm Beach, Florida. You'll also have the chance to coordinate critical HR projects for the broader Engineering organization and the West Palm Beach site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of related HR experience, OR a Master's/MBA with a minimum of 8 years of related HR experience.
  • Proven experience supporting employee relations cases, including investigations and resolutions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with leadership to develop and implement HR programs that directly support business goals and drive tangible results.
  • Effectively execute core HR processes for your assigned organizations, encompassing staffing, retention, talent development, employee engagement, performance management, salary planning, and employee relations.
  • Provide expert coaching to leaders and employees on effectively navigating and resolving employee relations issues.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries from all levels of employees, collaborating with our Centers of Excellence (COE) as needed.
  • Actively participate in succession planning processes and programs, ensuring we build a pipeline of talent that meets current and future organizational needs.
  • Consult with key leaders and stakeholders to gather insights and understand their HR needs, shaping our strategic approach.
  • Be a key contributor to the ongoing growth and success of the Engineering HR team through impactful strategic project work.
  • Act as a positive disruptor, adeptly balancing competing priorities and effectively influencing stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Maintain a strong, collaborative partnership with our union-represented employees and union leaders to optimize business operations.
