About the position
Checkr is seeking a Sr. Manager, Financial Planning & Strategy - Tessera to join their team. This role will involve being the primary finance lead for Tessera, a Checkr company, with full P&L responsibility. The ideal candidate should have experience in a dynamic, high-growth environment and possess strong quantitative, data-driven skills. They will be responsible for providing strategic thought leadership, conducting analyses, leading planning processes, delivering financial reporting, and building and leading a high-performing FP&S team. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Tessera Leadership by providing strategic thought leadership while delivering financial results and KPIs
- Lead and conduct analyses to enable data-driven decisions that optimize business performance and solve complex business challenges
- Lead the planning processes, including strategic planning, for Tessera by implementing scalable and consistent processes for business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Deliver quarterly analyses and reporting of the business' financial results and KPIs, including variances to plan
- Build and lead a high-performing Tessera FP&S team
- Minimum of 6+ years in finance, with 2+ years experience leading and developing teams
- Proven track record in building and growing outstanding finance teams in a fast-growing environment
- Quantitative & analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Deep experience working in high-growth environments with a proven ability to identify and drive impactful financial outcomes, and to manage complex projects across multiple teams
- Prior experience in a combination of investment banking, management consulting, and private equity strongly preferred
- Strong executive leadership skills with experience partnering at the Board, investor, and executive management levels
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with proven experience in cultivating collaborative working relationships with teams across an organization
Requirements
