About the position
Exiger is seeking an experienced senior front-end developer to join their UI team and contribute to the creation of exceptional user experiences using AngularJS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modern technologies and practices, with a focus on effectively utilizing large data sets. Responsibilities include collaborating with product owners, participating in design discussions, making code base recommendations, estimating development effort, developing and testing new features, conducting peer code reviews, and mentoring junior developers. This is a remote position with occasional onsite requirements in Toronto, Canada.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product owners to define user stories
- Participate in constructive design discussions to deliver maintainable and practical solutions
- Make recommendations on how to evolve the code base
- Accurately estimate development effort
- Develop and test new features
- Squash bugs
- Participate in peer code reviews
- Mentor junior developers
Requirements
- 8 years of software development experience
- 5 years of experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML
- 4 years of experience using AngularJS
- Experience with build technologies like Grunt, Gulp, or similar
- Experience with the Less CSS pre-processor or similar
- 2 years of experience using agile methodologies
- Knowledge of ES6, JavaScript transpilers, Typescript, Angular (Angular 2+), NodeJS, Responsive mobile web development experience, Module bundling/loading technologies like Webpack, React, Java Web Development, Maven
- Ability to collaborate with product owners to define user stories
- Participation in constructive design discussions to deliver maintainable and practical solutions
- Ability to make recommendations on how to evolve the code base
- Accurate estimation of development effort
- Development and testing of new features
- Bug fixing
- Participation in peer code reviews
- Mentoring of junior developers
- Remote work with the requirement of being located within 2-hour of Toronto, Canada and expected onsite 1-2 days per month.
