About The Position

In this role, you will rapidly analyze aircraft telemetry data to support a fast-paced flight test certification campaign. You will perform vehicle-level simulation and performance analysis using Matlab/Simulink, and automate analysis pipelines to facilitate flight test activities. Additionally, you will assist with planning for vehicle performance, safety, and simulator qualification flight testing. A key responsibility will be to identify sources of simulation model error and update vehicle physics models based on test data. You will also support design and analysis activities to ensure that business and regulatory requirements are met with high confidence.

Requirements

• BS in an Engineering discipline required
• 5+ years of aerospace vehicle performance and simulation experience at a full-vehicle level
• Experience supporting flight test analysis from an aerodynamics and/or performance perspective
• Experience working with vehicle analysis tools and simulations in MATLAB/Simulink
• Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills
• Experience in a fast-paced design environment

Nice To Haves

• Experience modeling and analyzing eVTOL aircraft and a deep understanding of the role of various aircraft subsystems including an electric powertrain
• Familiar with FAA regulations relating to aircraft and rotorcraft certification
• Experience using simulation and analysis for certification credit
• Pilot's license
