About The Position

The Senior Director of Operations is responsible for ensuring factories meet annual targets for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Yield, and Cost. This role involves coordinating with R&D for smooth transitions from design to production, aligning priorities between commercial and operational teams, and driving continuous improvements in manufacturing processes. The position requires strategic planning to translate corporate roadmaps into executable actions at factories, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation, and developing high-caliber talent within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in a technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of demonstrated performance in Manufacturing/Operations.
  • Demonstrated capability in execution excellence and ability to build effective operations culture.
  • Proven track record of driving continuous improvement for multi-plant operations.
  • Experience in developing and implementing operations strategies that deliver end results.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with leadership teams.
  • Excellent management skills, including the ability to supervise globally dispersed teams.
  • Familiarity with electrical/electronic components manufacturing such as capacitors is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure factories are meeting Safety, Quality, Delivery, Yield and Cost annual targets.
  • Coordinate with R&D to enable smooth transition from design to production of new products.
  • Facilitate the alignment of priorities between commercial and operational.
  • Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement within manufacturing processes.
  • Implement improvements to existing manufacturing systems or deploy enhanced systems to increase factory efficiency.
  • Guide and implement lean methodologies to streamline operations and reduce waste.
  • Utilize data-driven approaches to analyze performance metrics and present actionable insights.
  • Regularly track and report progress on improvements and respond to areas needing further attention.
  • Collaborate with corporate teams to translate strategic roadmaps into executable actions.
  • Support factories in developing and executing comprehensive plans aligned with their goals.
  • Instill a culture of accountability focused on result-orientation.
  • Foster a culture of innovation for continuous improvements.
