Senior Design Engineer, Human Factor Concepts & Design

The Senior Design Engineer, Human Factor Concepts & Models will be responsible for developing generative design concepts and models, concentrating on data-driven design processes, and supporting the Computational Design Lab in taking the next generation of products from concepts to production. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience and training, 4+ years of experience in Architecture or Automotive or Industrial Design Engineering Sector (or relevant equivalent), and expertise in Nurbs, SubD and mesh modeling. They should also have strong visual story-telling and communication skills, be self-driven, willing to act on launching novel projects ideas and developing concepts from scratch, and be able to travel internationally and domestically and work overtime when needed.

• 3D scanning and digital reconstruction methods implication to design process
• 3D surface and solid modeling
• Human-centered design processes establishment by employing tools to support the data-driven process
• Work in harmony with the Computational Designers to develop concepts and parametric models
• CAD operations, automation, and simulation of product designs

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience and training
• Master’s or Doctoral preferred in a related field preferred
• 4+ years of experience in Architecture or Automotive or Industrial Design Engineering Sector (or relevant equivalent)
• Deep understanding of product development processes
• Strong understanding of design, modeling, and manufacturing constraints
• Expertise in Nurbs, SubD and mesh modeling
• Experience in computational simulations and developing test methods
• Working knowledge of embedded electronics
• Deep materials and manufacturing processes knowledge
• Reverse Engineering experience is a plus
• Time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to think and act strategically and proactively
• Strong visual story-telling and communication skills
• Self-driven, willing to act on launching novel projects ideas and developing concepts from scratch
• Travel International and Domestic and work overtime when needed
