About The Position

The Senior Art Director at BGB Group is responsible for developing designs and concepts across various media for multiple brands within a healthcare communications agency. This role involves ensuring brand consistency, overseeing the quality of creative outputs, and providing guidance to graphic designers. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various teams to achieve agency objectives.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Fine Arts degree
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, preferably in pharmaceutical advertising
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrated supervisory, management, judgment, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent design skills, including typography, color, photography, and art
  • Passionate about design and visual communication
  • Knowledge of print and digital production
  • Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to multitask and handle stressful situations
  • Ability to prioritize workflow and meet changing deadlines
  • Excellent computer skills, especially in Adobe applications: Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator; understanding of Flash, HTML, and Aftereffects; proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Proficiency with Figma and general AI tools

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee design and concepts as a brand lead
  • Keep all work consistent and on brand guidelines and strategy
  • Clearly present and communicate internally
  • Establish and maintain high standards of reproduction for all digital, print, audio/visual and collateral materials
  • Monitor the quality of finished mechanical/digital art and conceptual materials
  • Provide direction and guidance to graphic designers
  • Inform and advise creative leadership on departmental affairs, including design-related hardware/software needs
  • Ensure efficient visual execution of creative concepts according to account responsibilities
  • Consult with creative leadership and other agency team members to achieve objectives
  • Identify and eliminate factors creating crises and minimize recurrence
  • Meet established deadlines or provide reasonable notice for extensions
  • Maintain a current list of available freelance artists and other contributory talent
  • Engage in personal development to stay current in advertising
  • Research to become familiar with clients' businesses
