Senior Android Developer

Kajabi is seeking a talented Sr. Android Developer to join their Mobile cross-functional product team. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in Android development, a deep understanding of mobile best practices, and knowledge of the mobile sphere architecture. As part of the team, the developer will collaborate with other Android and iOS developers, as well as a Dev Manager, Product Designer, and Product Manager, to ensure the successful launch of new and existing mobile products. The role will involve designing, building, and maintaining apps, providing technical leadership, participating in application architecture discussions, and working closely with product design and UX experts.

• Work with a dedicated mobile team to design, architect, build, and maintain new and existing apps
• Write clean, simple, well-tested code
• Review code written by other developers and offer constructive feedback
• Provide technical leadership and platform knowledge to the developers on your team
• Participate in or drive application architecture discussions
• Collaborate with product design and UX experts in planning native application experiences
• Participate in weekly one-on-ones with your dev manager
• Maintenance and updates for existing mobile applications
• Focus on coding content-based applications with flexibility for server-side changes and user-generated content
• Build, manage, and deploy applications to the Google Play admin console
• Work closely with the development team using preferred toolset and practices
• Be a team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Experience creating a full app from start to finish
• Experience with open source third-party libraries and comfortable with forking/editing projects
• Confident in architecting solutions and asking questions for behavior and business results
• Ability to break apart large projects into small incremental steps
• Strong experience with Java/Kotlin on Android, AndroidX architecture components, Firebase, and various open source libraries
• Experience with mobile platforms and high-level concepts on both Android and iOS
• Comfortable working with git and Github, managing merge conflicts
• Belief in modularity, clear documentation, and a no-ego approach to coding.
