About the position
The Senior/Principal AI Product Manager will be responsible for driving the implementation of AI across internal processes within the organization. They will work closely with all functions of the company to identify opportunities for improving workflows using AI and ML technologies. Additionally, they will serve as an evangelist for AI, motivating and inspiring the organization to embrace its benefits. The role will also involve consulting with product teams to ideate and refine AI-powered functionality for products, as well as staying updated on advancements in AI technologies and methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the strategic vision for internal AI/ML initiatives
- Create and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap for internal AI/ML projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and specifications
- Prioritize and manage a backlog of AI/ML opportunities
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure alignment
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to inform strategy and priorities
- Collaborate with product designers to ensure seamless user experiences
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for AI/ML projects
- Coordinate the release and launch of AI/ML projects
- Evangelize the value proposition of AI/ML internally and externally
- Identify and communicate potential risks and challenges associated with AI/ML
- Stay updated with relevant regulations and guidelines related to AI/ML technologies
- Stay abreast of advancements in AI/ML technologies and methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree (or equivalent work experience) in a relevant field such as computer science, data science, engineering, or a related discipline. A higher degree or certification in AI/ML is a plus.
- Extensive professional experience in product management, specifically in AI/ML or related areas. Ideally, 5+ years of experience in product management roles, with a focus on AI/ML products and/or services.
- Strong understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts and technologies. Familiarity with popular AI/ML frameworks and tools, and ability to apply them to product development and decision-making.
- Prior experience working in a SaaS (Software as a Service) company is highly desirable. Understanding the SaaS business model, customer needs, and market dynamics.
- Demonstrated expertise in product management methodologies and practices, including market research, product strategy development, roadmap planning, feature prioritization, and agile product development.
- Proficiency in technical aspects related to AI/ML, such as data engineering, data science, cloud computing, and software development. Ability to work closely with engineering teams and understand technical complexities.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in leading cross-functional teams or projects, and driving product initiatives. Proven ability to collaborate effectively.
