This individual should be proactive, committed to continuous improvement of processes and can consistently apply policies and procedures. This position will report to the Plant Controller.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • 4-6 years' experience in finance or accounting in a manufacturing company preferred.
  • Strong computer and financial analysis skills.
  • Ability to work and communicate well with all types of people inside and outside of the organization.
  • A good understanding of financial statements and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles required.
  • Must be detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of close, reporting, and support tasks within the accounting department of an established company.
  • Prepare month end journal entries and reconciliations timely and accurately maintaining GAAP and FICAP compliance.
  • Manage Fixed Asset control, CIP classifications and monitor in service dates.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly management reports and use reports to drive improvements and escalation of issues.
  • Perform cost analysis/cost-rolls, manufacturing variance analysis, including standard cost establishment.
  • Provide Forecasting and Budgeting support.
  • Participate in Sarbanes Oxley testing reporting, with emphasis on prevention, elimination, and timely close-out of control deficiencies.
  • Include audit support, physical inventory, and many special projects and assignments.
