About The Position

The Semiconductor Technology and Strategy Leader will create and implement a semiconductor strategy for Garmin's diverse product teams, including Fitness, Consumer Auto, Outdoor, and Marine. This role involves managing supplier relationships, driving technology advancements, and serving as the semiconductor interface to the Executive team, ensuring alignment with Garmin's needs and objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in the component technology industries.
• Demonstrated success in working business deals and negotiations.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to lead and sell strategies across Garmin business segments.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Garmin's overall product line and customers.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a similar role with a background in technical marketing or technical sales.
• Experience in field applications or system engineering.

Responsibilities

• Create and deploy a semiconductor strategy for Garmin's product teams.
• Manage relationships through supplier engagement and assessment.
• Facilitate segment communication, coordination, alignment, and knowledge management.
• Identify revolutionary new technologies and stay updated on Garmin's needs.
• Serve as the semiconductor interface to the Executive team.
• Drive technology through research, evaluation, and validation of new suppliers/components.
• Develop existing relationships and initiate dialogue with new suppliers.
• Advocate with suppliers for the development of solutions that address technical challenges.
