The Security Material Controller will be responsible for designing and implementing secure systems of work across the R&CE site. Processes will be designed to be audited and any deviations to be tracked to ensure the highest standards of security, quality and efficiency in our metal production operations. Reporting to the PGMS Supply Chain Manager, this role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our operations.

  • Create new weighment points (control points) in selected areas to increase overall metal data.
  • Responsible for the 'early warning' stewardship systems of metal loss limits, yields and local area periodic stock checks.
  • Lead on the development of 'semi-automated' witness-weighing and set up data logged weighment systems.
  • Liaise with CCTV expertise in Security (contractors) for monitoring.
  • Work with staff to trial new weighment points and analyze weighment data.
  • Collaborate with Security professionals to improve monitoring of high-risk materials.
  • Conduct regular audits of metal production processes to ensure compliance with internal protocols.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the metal production industry.
  • Strong knowledge of auditing processes and SPC techniques.
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining secure systems of work.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills.
  • Non-smoker and free from nicotine products for at least 3 months.
