Security Engineer

Coinhako is seeking a Security Engineer to join their team and contribute to their mission of building the crypto economy in the APAC region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing information security, implementing security solutions, and managing cloud security services. They should have a strong technical background in network security, security operations, and penetration testing, as well as familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and cloud provider ecosystems. The Security Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver creative solutions to technology challenges and communicate security risks to stakeholders.

• Responsible for analyzing information security, protection, and management framework, guidelines, and best practices for the organization.
• Manage cloud security services to implement the latest security improvements.
• Implement security solutions for the protection of cloud/on-premise environment, endpoint, networks, and information.
• Apply understanding and experience with systems automation platforms and technologies.
• Interpret security and technical requirements into business requirements and communicate security risks to relevant stakeholders.
• Direct and influence multi-disciplinary teams in implementing and operating Cyber Security controls.
• Collaborate with application developers and database administrators to deliver creative solutions to technology challenges and business requirements.
• Employ cloud-based APIs to write network/system level tools for safeguarding cloud environments.
• Stay updated on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and controls.
• Possess a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering.
• Have technical experience in Network Security, Security Operations, or Penetration Testing.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and cloud provider ecosystems like Amazon AWS.
• Hands-on experience in security systems, including Next Gen Firewall: Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Fortinet, EDR, SIEM/SOC.
• Capability to architect highly available systems utilizing load balancing, horizontal scalability, and high availability.

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering
• Technical 1+ years-experience in Network Security, Security Operations, or Penetration Testing
• Strong familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and cloud provider ecosystems like Amazon AWS
• Hands on experience in security systems, including Next Gen Firewall: Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Fortinet, EDR, SIEM/SOC
• Capability architecting highly available systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability and high availability
