About The Position

The EMT is responsible for all operational aspects of the department, primarily responding to medical calls on park property. This individual must ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for the guests and employees in and around the attractions at Magic Springs Theme and Water Park.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Maintain current State of Arkansas EMT or above license.
  • Maintain current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR card.
  • Friendly and outgoing.
  • Available to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Good attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to follow direction given by supervisor and management.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with other departments.
  • Ability to use good judgement and remain calm in high stress situations.
  • All job offers contingent on passing criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure guest safety and satisfaction in their stay at Magic Springs & Crystal Falls.
  • Report all problems to the First Aid supervisors.
  • Daily monitoring of all equipment, supplies, maintenance, and on-going training; cleanliness of equipment and First Aid station.
  • Assure all paperwork is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain high standard of quality guest service.
  • Conduct patient assessments, including physical examination and First Aid and Basic Life Support.
  • Recognize the need for special or additional assistance; including Advanced Life Support, ambulance transport, patient extrication, rescue, or other services.
  • Interview patients, family members, and witnesses appropriately.
  • Utilize telecommunications, radio communications, and dispatch of resources.
  • Understand and perform appropriately under the Emergency Response Plan, including disaster and Multiple Casualty Incident (MCI) operations and management.
  • Manage infection control, biohazardous material identification, clean up and disposal.
  • Identify hazardous atmospheres, materials, and incidents.
  • Perform administrative duties including filing, distribution, computer operations, typing and data entry.
  • Understand, support, and follow Standard Operating Procedures and Patient Care Protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
