Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and two years related work experience required.
• Demonstrated proficiency with computer technology and medical terminology.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks on a timely basis and work in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to speak effectively and present a pleasant, professional demeanor/image during telephone conversations or in person.
• Adherence to follow established procedures and make sound decisions based on those procedures.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information according to policy.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients for all procedures by obtaining necessary required medical information either from the patient or physician.
• Assist centralized scheduling queue at high volume call times, including answering all calls routed to the scheduling department for Princeton Radiology.
• Ensure the accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information.
• Inform patients of exam preparations, precertification requirements, and directions to the appropriate imaging office.
• Respond to same day procedure calls according to established procedures.
• Assist at front desk as needed.
