Salesforce Engineer

We are seeking a conceptually and technically skilled and experienced Salesforce Developer to join our dynamic Enterprise Systems team at KAYAK. As a Salesforce Developer, you will play a vital role in building our new Salesforce platform for our Business Travel unit. You will collaborate with various commercial, customer support, tech/product and finance partners to convert business requirements into customized solutions, and build comprehensive lead management, customer onboarding and contract management as well as customer support and billing workflows.

Define the data structure with business, tech and analytics team members.

Design and develop customized Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning LWC Components, and other related technologies.

Collaborate with business partners to gather and analyze requirements, and translate them into technical specifications.

Implement Salesforce configurations, customizations, and integrations with other systems.

Develop and maintain data migration and integration processes.

Create and maintain system documentation, including technical specifications, test plans, and user guides.

Perform unit testing, debugging, and fixing to ensure the quality and performance of developed solutions.

Stay updated with Salesforce platform updates, new features, and industry standard methodologies.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Proven experience as a Salesforce Developer, with a strong understanding of the Salesforce platform and its various components.

Proficient in Apex, Lightning LWC, and other Salesforce development tools.

Experience with Salesforce integrations using REST, SOAP, or other web services.

Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and relational databases.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex business requirements.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I or II are a plus.
