About the position
The job overview for the Sales Engineer, EMEA position at Vercel is to provide technical support and expertise to the sales team, prospects, and customers throughout the entire sales cycle. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for demonstrating and presenting the solutions offered by Vercel, managing and running proof of concepts, responding to security documents and RFPs, and acting as an interface between the Product and Engineering teams. The ideal candidate should have a passion for helping people understand and utilize Vercel's technology, possess strong technical skills, and be able to prioritize and lead projects effectively.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to the sales team, prospects, and customers throughout the entire sales cycle
- Be the expert in Vercel's platform, solutions, and services and how they can be applied to solve business needs
- Develop and present demonstrations of the Vercel solutions
- Manage and run PoCs, guiding measures of success and towards meaningful outcomes
- Respond to Security Documents, coordinating with other internal specialist teams
- Respond to RFPs and other required formal written responses for sales opportunities
- Be an interface to Product and Engineering teams, representing Voice of Customer
Requirements
- Background in JavaScript
- Broad understanding of modern web development approaches and best practices
- Technical support throughout the entire sales cycle
- Expertise in Vercel's platform, solutions, and services
- Ability to develop and present demonstrations of Vercel solutions
- Experience managing and running Proof of Concepts (PoCs)
- Ability to respond to Security Documents and RFPs
- Interface with Product and Engineering teams
- Focus on learning, guiding, collaboration, mentorship, and growth
- Passion for helping people understand and utilize technology
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals, from developers to C-level executives
- Strong project management and prioritization skills
- Strong technical skills, preferably with software development experience or previous pre-sales experience.
