About the position
The Sales Development Representative is a crucial role at MFG.com, responsible for ensuring the effective use of the platform by industrial buyers of custom manufactured parts. This role involves growing and managing the RFQ funnel, maintaining buy-side relationships, and providing customer service and support. The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B sales and customer support, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities
- Grow the existing MFG.com marketplace through prospecting, cold calling, and penetrating the existing database
- Interact with buy-side customers through phone, email, live chat, and instant messaging to provide customer service and support
- Welcome new users of the MFG.com system and provide orientations of website functionality and operation
- Log all customer interactions in CRM system
- Follow up on all outstanding customer support issues to resolution
- Communicate effectively with customers using verbal and/or written mediums
- Be flexible and open to other selling opportunities
- Stay attuned to the industry landscape and market trends
- Perform additional responsibilities and tasks as necessary
- Experience in B2B sales and/or customer support
- Experience using modern sales technologies such as Hubspot, Zoominfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Exceptional and engaging communication skills
- Strong business acumen with a focus on continuous development and improvement
- Ability to work independently with little guidance and collaborate closely with peers, cross-functional teams, and leadership
- A proven history of overachieving targets and KPIs
- Possess a positive, can-do, team-player mentality/attitude
Requirements
- Experience in B2B sales and/or customer support
- Experience using modern sales technologies; Hubspot, Zoominfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator comfort are a plus
- Exceptional and engaging communication skills
