About the position

The Sales Development Representative role at Ethos involves guiding customers through the life insurance buying process, educating them on different products, and providing a transparent and positive customer experience. The responsibilities include outreach to potential customers, assisting with applications, and working with licensed agents to close deals. The ideal candidate should have a strong desire to succeed, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for helping others. This role plays a crucial part in shaping the future of life insurance sales and providing security for families.

Responsibilities

  • Engage potential customers through inbound and outbound calls, emails, and SMS
  • Educate customers on Ethos' products and work closely with overseas licensed agents team to convert customers
  • Uncover and understand individual needs through in-depth discovery and position Ethos' value according to those specific needs
  • Build relationships and instill trust with customers to drive monthly and quarterly conversion targets
  • Partner with colleagues in sales, marketing, customer experience, and product to execute team and company goals
  • Manage a pipeline of customers and perform follow-up through the application and purchasing process
  • Iterate and improve upon workflows and outreach strategies
  • Drive referral activity by creating positive customer experiences
  • Requires working out of Ethos Bangalore office during US shift hours
  • Fluent in English with a neutral/American accent
  • Has previous documented success in a high-volume telesales position (200-300 calls per day)
  • Motivated to be on the phone for ~8 hours a day
  • Strong proficiency in working with Salesforce or equivalent

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of experience in life insurance telesales experience
  • Requires to work out of Ethos Bangalore office, during US shift hours
  • Fluent in English with a neutral/american accent
  • Has previous documented success in a high-volume telesales position (200-300 calls per day)
  • Motivated to be on the phone for ~8 hours a day
  • Strong proficiency in working with Salesforce or equivalent
